With Lok Sabha Elections 2025 just around the corner, BJP has kick-started its campaign by releasing its first list of candidates. The list includes several new faces, many of whom are in their 30s and 40s, reflecting the party’s focus on youth empowerment and clean governance.
Key highlights from the list include the replacement of some sitting MPs with fresh candidates, a move seen as an attempt to counter anti-incumbency. The party also gave tickets to professionals and social workers with grassroots support.
BJP President J.P. Nadda said during the press briefing, “This election is about fresh energy and a renewed vision. We are listening to the people and giving them candidates who represent a modern, developed India.”
Political analysts say this move is also a response to the growing popularity of opposition alliances which are focusing on inflation, unemployment, and farmers’ issues.
